The HSU Cycling collegiate and citizen bike races on April 6 and 7 were a success! For the third year in a row, we held three events: the Loleta Road Race, the HSU Campus Criterium, and this year, we brought back the Thompkins Hill Time Trial. About 100 cyclists competed each day. Cash prizes were awarded to the top three omnium finishers in combined non-collegiate categories. Click here for the unofficial time trial results, road race results and crit and prime results.
Registration is online at usacycling.org or the day of the event at the race site.
Once again, Adventure’s Edge is our title sponsor. Thank you AE, Umqua Bank, Team Bigfoot, CylceOps and Hammer, and don’t forget to support all our sponsors!
If you have questions, please contact our race director Cole Humphrey (pictured left with cowbell) at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Special thanks to our chief race official Rob Van Kirk who will be officiating our events for the third year running.
Here’s a printable version of the HSU race flyer.
Sunday’s criterium is a .75 counter-clockwise loop on the HSU campus. The race starts at the corner of Harpst and B Streets. The finish line is 3/4 up the hill on B Street. The map shows the start/finish at the same spot, but the start is actually at the bottom right corner of the course. Parking is on B Street and in the lot behind Harry Griffith Hall. To access the course and parking, please enter campus from the 14th Street and B Street entrance on the south side of campus by Plant Operations.
